Mountain Biking is Back!
New trails have been cleared around Lower Otay Reservoir and are ready to ride. John Carroll, former owner of Mission Cyclery, has been gracious to help the Friends of Otay Valley Regional Park hold monthly bike riding events on the 2nd Saturday of every month. These rides include dirt fire roads and single track type of trails with shade trees and tranquil views of the lake and mountains. Maps will be provided to show you the various trails available in the Eastlake area. John also has free give aways and prizes for those who participate. A good group of riders have come together to ride our underutilized trails. All experience levels are welcome and are encouraged to feel the rush of riding trails in a group. We will start the riding between 8:30 & 9 am. If you show up early, around 8 am, you can stretch your body and get a free tune-up on your bike. Bring your adventurous spirit and water to accompany you on this trip through the Otay Valley Regional Park. The starting spot will be the north parking lot at the docking/concession facilities on Wueste Road. See you on the trail...
