Mountain Biking is Back!

New trails have been cleared around Lower Otay Reservoir and are ready to ride. John Carroll, former owner of Mission Cyclery, has been gracious to help the Friends of Otay Valley Regional Park hold a first class bike riding event. John has secured raffle prizes and manpower to lead rides for all levels. All the proceeds from the raffle will benefit the Otay Valley Regional Park. So please come out on Saturday November 20 and give Thanks to the beautiful areas preserved for your outdoor adventures. This ride includes dirt fire roads and single track type of trails with shade trees and tranquil views of the lake and mountains. Maps will be provided to show you the various trails available in the Eastlake area. One ride will extend down Salt Creek and out Otay Valley to the Coors Amphitheatre and back. We will start the riding between 8 & 9 am. Bring your adventurous spirit and water to accompany you on this trip through the Otay Valley Regional Park. The starting spot will be the north parking lot at the docking/concession facilities on Wueste Road. Come early and ride while the day is still cool. See you on the trail... for more information go to www.ovrp.org or call 619-397-5300.
