On Saturday October 16, the Friends of OVRP would like to invite all mountain bikers to Lower Otay Reservoir for a relatively flat ride around the lake. This ride includes dirt fire roads and single track type of trails with shade trees and tranquil views of the lake and mountains.
There will be raffles for prizes and led trail rides for all experience levels. We will start the riding between 8 & 9 am and we will take photos of those who make it to Harvey's Arm rest area. Bring your adventurous spirit and water to accompany you on this trip through the Otay Valley Regional Park. The trail to Harvey's Arm takes about 45 minutes to one hour (one-way). There are numerous shorter turn-a-round spots as well.
The starting spot will be the north parking lot at the docking/concession facilities on Wueste Road. Come early and ride while the day is still cool. See you on the trail.
