Minutes
TIME: Wednesday, April 9, 2003 9 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
LOCATION: City of Chula Vista, Public Works Center, Conference Room C & D, 1800 Maxwell road, Chula Vista, CA 91911
ATTENDANCE: Present: Bransford, Smith, Willett, Nick DeLorenzo, Ohrmund, Hofmockel, Herrera-A, Harkness, McCall, Acerro, Rushlow, Swain
CALL TO ORDER: Jack Bransford called the meeting to order at 9:21 a.m.
NEXT MEETING: April 23, 2003, 9 a.m., Public Works Conference Room.
MINUTES: Approval of minutes from the 4/2/03 meeting was tabled.
AGENDA ITEMS:

Discuss comments received from Community Meeting –
Joint Staff.
Rushlow stated that the meeting was a success. Notices were sent to 2000 households. Attendance was 55 people. Rushlow suggested that meeting notices be sent a month in advance for the next meeting. People had time to make comments and talk to staff. Other non-trails issues were discussed.
2.
Discuss Field Work Assignment #2 Mapping task – Join
Staff/DeLorenzo
Reese made a presentation regarding the goal of establishing a regional trail. Copies of his presentation are attached.
Also attached are the Phase II Tasks. Addressing the tasks on the handout is the No. 1 priority. Of particular concern is task P5, the 27th Street crossing.
3.
New Business
Rushlow stated that the Trails Subcommittee would continue meeting indefinitely.
Willett presented a list of entry points to the valley.
