California Coastal Cleanup Day, September 18,2004,
Location: Proposed Otay Regional Park Staging Area, East Side of Beyer Way,
south of the Otay River, one block north of Palm Ave, Thomas Guide Map, Page
1330, C6, just below Kaanapal Way, which over looks the valley to the north.
Entrance to Cleanup site: will be a dirt SDG&E Maintenance Road south end
of Albany St off Main Street, Chula Vista. Follow signs south down across the
dry river, then turning right for about one block and the turn left to parking
area will be marked by cones and personnel will direct you to
parking area.
After Parking, head to the chick in table for assignment to three person
team, a trash bag, a recycle bag and a person with a picker part of a six
person working group supervised by an Adult, who will give you a briefing.
Safety is a Priority in this cleanup project.
Show up Time: one hour before work begins at 09:00. Due to constraint on
parking, it is suggested that every effort should be given to car pooling and
traveling with your friends.
Work Clothes: Wear long trousers, long sleeves, broad brim hat, high top
shoes, dark sun glasses and bring sun lotion. Gloves will furnished. High and
Junior College students will be credited with 5 hours of community service.
Liability Release Waiver Forms: Each worker will be required to have a
singed release form, which will be provided ahead of time.
